Major Purpose: #supportUkraine
Provide superior customer service to our farm partners through efficient running of the Grain Lab. Collaborate with team members to accomplish daily tasks. Receive, grade, blend, clean, and ship grain. Maintain cleanliness of work area and elevator to a high standard.
Responsibilities & Requirements
This position requires great attention to detail and precision
Comply with company safety policies and procedures
Excellent customer service
Excel spreadsheet and database entry
Accurately complete necessary documentation
Operate computerized plant control software to unload grain trucks and load railcars
Operate grain testing equipment and grade grain
Assist with other general duties within the facility, including but not limited to sweeping, shoveling and other general housekeeping duties
Assist in other loading procedures when necessary
Willing to work a rotating shift work schedule, overtime, holidays, nights and weekends as required.
Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies
Other duties and responsibilities as required
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
Grain elevator or grading experience is an asset but not required
Physical Requirements:
Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely, walk up and down steps, and work at heights
Willing to work outside in inclement weather
Able to work in an environment with high dust levels
Can lift, push, pull at least fifty (50) pounds
In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift)
Must have the ability to work safely, communicate well and perform in a team environment
Qualifications
Read, write, and understand English
Basic math skills
Computer skills (data entry)
Valid Drivers License
Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Must be at least 18 years of Age.
