Weyerhaeuser Company is currently recruiting for a Green End Area Coordinator for our OSB facility located in Edson, AB.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Green End Area Coordinator is responsible for the safe and efficient prioritization and coordination of processes within the Green End up to the dry bin(s).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Standardize, define, and measure equipment output.
  • Set work standards for safety, quality, and production.
  • Prioritize and coordinate maintenance work.
  • Schedule outside resources.
  • Measure key performance indicators for safety, quality, production, and maintenance.
  • Establish and maintain production and operation of control parameters.
  • Continuously improve equipment performance.
  • Meet production goals in the area to support upstream customer`s volume.
  • Lead process change projects – MOC/NOC.
  • Assist with annual budget and capital planning.
  • Act as a facilitator for the area Lead Hands and Operators.
  • Manage consumables in the area.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and operator driven reliability (ODR).
  • Log quality inspections.
Qualifications
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Bachelor`s degree in a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Capable of thinking logically and critically with excellent analytical skills.
  • Must work well independently or as part of a team.
  • Motivation, initiative, and a strong desire for personal growth and learning.
  • Demonstrate the ability to focus on continuous improvement, developing innovative ideas, and improving systems.
  • Ability to track/measure performance utilizing standard methods.
  • Proficient with PC software including MS Office, Network Applications, Proficy, SAP, MS Project.
  • Ownership and commitment to safety and risk assessment.
  • Willingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position; candidates must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening.

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $81,600- $117,400 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Employees are also eligible to enroll in the Retirement Savings Plan (Group RRSP).
