- Reviews the daily visit schedule and ensures that appropriate supplies are available (i.e. Personal Protective Equipment, sanitization)
- Welcomes visitors and ensures they are screened in accordance with appropriate guidelines
- Ensures that visiting space and devices are ready and appropriate
- Schedule visits through telephone or email communication with families as required
- Porters residents to the visit area as required
- Supports virtual visitation and ensures that appropriate computer devices and software/web platforms are ready for use; troubleshooting to ensure connections are made and secure
- Provides information to visitors, residents and families on visit protocols, scheduling procedures and answers questions from visitors
- Follows established communication channels to raise concerns to site leadership
- Cultivates as safe an environment as possible for those entering the facility, while still adhering to infection prevention protocols and directions, violence prevention, and cultural safety training
- Maintains records on visitor admissions as assigned
- Follows direction and criteria for providing PPE to visitors/escorts/outpatients
- Sorts and files forms and documents as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned
