Homestead Co-op is hiring a Full Time Front-End Manager in our Grocery Department at our Portage la Prairie Food Store location.

What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Grocery Manager your duties will include, but are not limited to; providing strategic leadership to the Front-End Team Members to ensure operational efficiencies and processes are followed to align with the strategy, objectives and vision of the respective department. You will work with the Grocery Manager to determine current and future capabilities required for effective execution of merchandising, marketing, image/fixed assets, talent development in addition to driving sales.
You are looking for a career in Retail and:
- You have excellent customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to problem solve.
- You are highly motivated and organized.
- You possess strong interpersonal skills.
- You demonstrate the ability to provide leadership and motivate employees.
- You have Grade 12 or Equivalent with a preference for post-secondary education (business diploma or degree)
- You have previous experience (3-5 years) in a retail environment with supervisory responsibilities, with a preference for Grocery experience
- You have a commitment to ongoing development in the industry.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends.
- You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-orientated and strive to be the best in what you do.
