Established over 60 years ago, Nortown Foods is a specialty food store with locations in North York, Forest Hill, and Vaughan. We specialize in quality meats, homemade style foods, and customer service.

We are currently searching for a Grocery Clerk for our North York location.

Job Description

As a grocery clerk your role will include maintaining attractive grocery displays by keeping shelves well stocked and ordering products.

Duties

• Merchandise grocery products and maintain fully stocked shelves.
• Maintain grocery products inventory.
• Receive grocery and other deliveries.

Requirements

• Previous Stock Clerk and/or customer service experience.
• Experience in ordering products
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team; ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Effective time management skills.
• Available to work flexible hours, including weekends according to the needs of the business
• Strong work ethic and integrity.
• Push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Toronto, ON M6C 2B6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Stock Clerk: 2 years (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)
