Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

Duties Include:

• Assist with leading a crew under direction of facility manager.
• Welcome guests with how to arrive at their site and set up appropriately. This includes speaking to the guest about the proper equipment they are required to have for the sewer hookup.
• Assist with keeping the shop and surrounding area clean and tidy.
• Watch for any security issues in the park that may lead to a liability for the company.
• Assist with the horticultural care and yard maintenance daily and on any projects to improve the park. This includes daily checks and maintenance to our dog park area.
• Maintain and detail company vehicles and golf carts in presentable condition.
• Regular cleaning and maintenance of all sites which may include raking of graveled sites, sweeping of streets, picking up garbage and the clean-up of downed trees and branches.
• Provide information to customers on our park rules and safety within our park.
• Answer questions and address complaints from our customers in a professional and timely manner.
• Trouble shoot and assist with the repairs of our water, sewer or electrical systems.
• Monitor shop supplies and inventory and request needed items from manager as required.
• Take up other duties as assigned which may include some care of our resident animals/pets, and assisting in the water room and pool areas.
• Willingness to go above and beyond for the positive customer experience.

Qualifications:

• Proven strong and consistent work ethic.
• Excellence in communication and relationship building skills.
• Proven experience in yard maintenance and chain saw certification is an asset.
• Proven experience in wood working is an asset.
• Familiarity with yard maintenance equipment and heavy equipment operation.
• Must wear steel toed shoes/boots and high visibility clothing.
• Knowledge of small engine repair and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of work safety and WHMIS.
• Proficient in English (oral and written).
• Excels in organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service oriented.
• Must be able to work with other team members to accomplish a variety of tasks and jobs.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Minimum qualifications:

• Highschool Diploma
• Some post-secondary education would be an asset.
• Current WHMIS Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6-7 months
