MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, GODERICH, ONTARIO
TEMPORARY, FULL TIME – ASAP UNTIL NOVEMBER 2024
$19.00 PER HOUR
MONDAY – FRIDAY 7:30am – 4pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Responsible for the ground’s maintenance and landscaping of the property, including extensive gardening.
  • Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all community buildings and equipment.
  • Providing support to residence as required, such as snow removal.
  • Maintaining the pool and spa facilities.
  • Responsible in maintaining all Health & Safety aspects of the Community and Community Buildings.
  • Ensuring ongoing communication with Manager.
  • Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
  • Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.
  • Operate within the applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies at all times.
  • Be prepared to accept after hour calls and act on emergencies as required.
  • Other duties as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience; Clean Driver’s Abstract and Clean background/criminal check required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Must be willing to take the pool certification course at the beginning of employment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Physically fit; ability to lift, push and pull up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs infrequently; ability to work at heights.
  • Oral & written communication skills.
  • Problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills.
