Groundskeeping and Cemetery Crew

The Agricultural Department is looking for experienced seasonal full-time Groundskeeping Crew members for parks maintenance, grass cutting, herbicide application, weed identification and other agricultural duties that may be required. This posting will hire for positions that are required from either Summer: May 1 to August 30th, 2024 or Fall: May 1 to October 31, 2024. Weekends and Stat holidays off.

• A valid Class 5 driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract
• Standard First Aid Certificate Preferred
• 2 - 3 years of experience operating lawn maintenance equipment
• Physically capable of performing general outdoor labour duties
• May perform work in adverse weather conditions including heat, cold and inclement weather
• Ability to deal with members of the public in a professional manner
• Willingness to undertake training to meet operational requirements

The successful applicants will be team players with good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. You will be a self-starter who can contribute positively to the team environment.

Work Schedule: This position works 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Weekends and Stat holidays off.

Hourly Pay: $24.47 to $28.78.

Closing Date: February 4th, 2024 11.59 pm.
