Job Description:
As a Hardscape Labourer at Down to Earth Landscaping, you will play a crucial role in supporting the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor structures. You will work under the direction of the Hardscape Foreperson to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Site Preparation:

• Assist with site preparation activities, including clearing debris, excavating soil, and grading surfaces to ensure proper drainage.
• Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites as needed.
• Set up and maintain a clean and organized work area.

2. Hardscape Installation:

• Assist with the installation of hardscape features according to design plans and specifications.
• Lay pavers, bricks, stones, or other hardscape materials in patterns as directed.
• Mix and apply mortar or other bonding agents as required for construction.

3. Support Tasks:

• Provide support to other team members as needed, including assisting with landscape construction and maintenance activities.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow instructions from the Hardscape Foreperson and communicate any issues or concerns promptly.

4. Quality Assurance:

• Pay attention to detail and ensure that hardscape installations meet quality standards and specifications.
• Identify and report any defects, errors, or discrepancies in workmanship or materials.
• Work collaboratively with team members to resolve problems and achieve desired outcomes.

5. Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and hazards on job sites.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and use safety gear as required.
• Participate in safety training and follow safe work practices at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or related field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 60 per week
