Dimensions
This position will report to the Underground Supervisor.
Purpose
-Is responsible for their health and safety as well as others.
-Will correct or report unsafe practices or conditions.
-Maintains a safe and healthy place to work.
-Make suggestions to improve any aspect of safety and correct issues wherever possible.
-Will understand and follow Newmont policies and procedures as outlined in the FRM handbook.
-Learns and follows the safety rules and procedures for safe performance of the job
Essential Duties
-Must be able to safely operate (licensed) Haul Truck and additional mobile equipment including service & utility vehicles
-Move ore and waste to designated dump locations
-Other duties as assigned by the Frontline Supervisor
Training & Experience
-High School Diploma
-Underground Common Core Certificate
-Specialty Modules including most service equipment
-U0024 Operate Utility Vehicle
-U0091 Operate Haulage Truck
-Minimum of two (2) – three (3) years mining experience
-Experience as a Service Person or outside equivalent
-Good Safety and attendance record
-Good communication skills
Working Conditions
This position is located at our Hoyle Pond site, part of Newmont's Porcupine Mine located near Timmins, ON.
In this role you will work a 5x5x4 schedule, which means we do need you to live near the mine site.
