Head Chef (Culinary Manager)

Our Client is a retirement home in Muskoka that offers Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care for seniors. They are passionate about providing the best environment for their employees, to ensure that the Residents receive exceptional care that comes from the heart.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Head Chef (Culinary Manager) will be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience to the residents by managing all aspects of the kitchen and dining room
Requirements:
- Three years’ experience in a culinary leadership position
- Experience working as a Chef in a hospitality setting such as hotels or high end, busy restaurant or resort environment
- Experience working in the dietary department at a retirement home is an asset
- Good communication skills
- Providing leadership, supervision and training for kitchen staff and servers
- Communication with Residents and their families about dietary needs and concerns
- Working within the approved dietary department budget
- Adhering to Retirement Homes Act standards.
- Adhering to all Public Health and other relevant regulations and standards
- Red Seal Certification an asset
