Description:
You will be lead one pillar of a 3 sided marketplace (composed of customers, partners and couriers) for SkipTheDishes in Canada, and also part of a Global Product and Technology team that supports 20 countries globally.
As the Head of Product, you will be developing a clear strategy and roadmap for each of our end users, solving problems for them and ensuring we meet their needs better than anyone else in Canada, and across the globe. You will lead product leaders and product managers and work closely with design, engineering and commercial and delivery teams to ensure a leading partner experience by helping to grow their businesses, and ensure delivery of those objectives. Excellent product work also requires balancing your product needs across other product verticals to ensure we balance the needs of a 3 sided marketplace in Canada and other countries, globally. You will also work closely with other product leaders in other countries to ensure solutions are built for scale and benefit all our partners globally.
What’s on your plate:
Own the partner product value proposition at SkipTheDishes and ensure alignment across JET, globally
Define the partner product strategy, objectives and key results to be in line with the overall product and company strategy
Effectively communicate and proactively manage expectations of cross-functional senior level executives and stakeholders
Discover and validate partner problems, work with the team to develop meaningful solutions and prioritise roadmaps and convey value to stakeholders
Lead and manage a department of Product leaders and managers by supporting them through coaching, development, onboarding and managing talent
Ensure the the teams are disciplined and operating with high quality product management competencies (strategy, discovery and research, prioritization, roadmapping, execution, data literacy)
Building a deep understanding of needs of partners and customers and connecting them to goals of the organization
Manage to pillar budgets, forecasts and metrics
Drive innovation through from ideation to implementation with a clear view of value created for partners and the business
Experience, Competencies & Qualifications:
Exceptional understanding and practical experience of Product management: product strategy, discovery and research, prioritization, roadmapping, execution, and data literacy across mobile and web platforms, with the proven ability to lead and develop a world-class product team
Ability to bring strategic and big picture thinking, set a clear vision and plan, and be hands-on
Demonstrated experience applying user-centric product methodologies, using data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
Experience delivering value based results, set and track OKR’s , manage product performance.
E-commerce/marketplace experience in a 3 sided marketplace an asset
Experience with modern software development, business analysis, product analytics and product architecture to drive scalability
Expert commercial business acumen and ability to share insights with others on competition, price sensitivity, network effects, supply and demand mechanics
Expert communication skills and demonstrated ability to engage with senior level stakeholders in engineering, design and commercial teams
Expert ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with colleagues
Experience working in a data-driven environment with the ability to build key results, customer feedback loops, and advanced analytics into the product development process
