What You Will Do:
- Developing audits, procedures, policies, and training programs to enhance the prevention program.
- Inspecting and assessing workplace safety at various sites.
- Ensuring that Health and Safety guidelines are implemented on-site through increased presence.
- Reporting, recording, investigating, and analyzing accidents.
- Serving as a resource person for incident/accident forms completion.
- Coordinating and participating in Health and Safety committee meetings.
- Keeping safety procedures and emergency plans up to date.
- Acting as the company's representative in communications with CNESST, WSIB, and other organizations or authorities.
- Influencing workers' compliance with laws and regulations.
- Possession of a certificate in occupational Health and Safety, relevant training, certification, or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of safety guidelines mandated by CNESST, WSIB and federal laws.
- Ability to remain calm during stressful events, such as serious accidents.
- Willingness to travel to multiple job sites in a single day.
- Proficiency in both English and French, bilingual.
- Experience in construction sites.
- Telecommunications experience (an asset).
