Cornwall Truck Maintenance (Volvo/Mack)

Work hours are 7 am-3:30pm and 11:30 am -8pm.

Cornwall Truck Maintenance Inc. is a family owned and operated Volvo and Mack Heavy Trucks dealership. We are in a constant need for hardworking and driven individuals to join our growing team. Currently seeking skilled technicians for multiple mechanical tasks within our company. Job pay is based on knowledge and ranges from maintenance repairs to advanced diagnostics.

Diesel Technician

In this position, you need to be able to follow instructions and carry out tasks independently. Must be willing to continue to learn and keep up with technological standards as they change. Have problem solving skills and think outside the box. Be able to play detective and follow symptoms of a problem. Be able to ask for help when something is outside of your skill set and not waste too much time before that determination is made.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform repairs assigned by the Foreman
• Keep shop clean and tools picked up
• Get Foreman to review repairs when complete as to maintain quality standard
• Help techs with issues they can’t fix or don’t have the experience to fix
• Work with the parts department to be sure that we have parts necessary to complete repairs. Or if parts need to be ordered keep track of the time of arrival so that deadlines are met and shop doesn’t get overbooked
• Update Foreman on the status of jobs so that the night notes excel sheet is always up to date for the next shift
• Ensure that keys and work orders return to the service advisor when complete
• Work with warranty to inquire if repairs are warranty
• Be sure that you are following proper procedures and safety standards
• Notify the Foreman of any shop equipment that is failing/broken

Qualifications

• 310 T HEAVY DUTY Truck license (preferred)
