Work Schedule: 4on / 4off Monday - Thursday (11:30am - 10:00pm)
Velocity / First Truck Centre has an exciting opening for a Journeyman or Apprentice Service Technician at our Kamloops, BC branch. Compensation Plan
- Competitive base wage of $40:00 - $46:00

Primary Job Functions
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain OEM class 6,7,8 vehicles, trailers, truck mounted cranes, and Hi-Rail equipment.
- Test systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
- Generate work orders, prepare estimates and collect payments (working with the service administration team)
- Secure new accounts and build customer base
Qualifications
- Strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
- Commercial Transport (Truck and Transport Mechanic) Journeyman Certificate (or Red Seal)
- Heavy Truck and Trailer subject matter expert
- Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed, and process-driven environment
- Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift
- Must have own tools (required tool list will be provided)
- Class 5 driver's license
- Class 1, Class 3, and MVI Certifications are a bonus
