HEAVY EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Timberparts is a growing business, supplying the forestry and industrial sectors with parts and components for over 20 years. The company is a recognized leader in the industry for its knowledge and superior customer service. We are currently looking for Heavy Equipment Service Technician who would like to join our team. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of forestry equipment and attachments in a shop and road environment.

Duties Include, but are not limited to:
· Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, repair heavy duty equipment.
· Use materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
· Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken.
· Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards.
· Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel.

Requirements:

• Technician must have minimum block 3 Heavy Equipment or Automotive Service technician.
• Repair and rebuild components of Heavy Equipment machinery.
• (Automatic Transmission, Diesel Engines, Piston Pumps, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
• Must work well independently as well as with others and carry a positive attitude.
• Team player who can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Dependable and well organized.
• Have own tools, toolbox and work boots. Large tools will be supplied by Timberparts.
