Canadian Utility Services is a full-service contractor for transmission, distribution, foundation, forestry, telecommunications and renewable energy sectors.
Qualifications:
- Must have 3 years experience or equivalent work experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Tracked equipment experience on Tiger cat, Caterpillar, Timberjack, John Deere.
- Able to work independently.
- Must have First Aid and WHMIS.
- Class 1 driver’s license and clean driving abstract would be an asset.
- Must be willing to travel and stay in hotels or camps.
Duties include:
Operating heavy equipment on construction and forestry sites such as highways, transmission lines, right-of-ways, wind and solar farms, and forestry development. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for performing regular equipment inspections and completing and maintaining logs as well as adhering to CUSL’s Environmental Protection Plan and following safe work practices. The Heavy Equipment Operator will often be working independently as well as in remote locations.
