Herbicide Applicator

We are currently seeking 10+ positions for 2024, this is a summer position with the possibility for full-time year round employment for the right individuals. This position is great for summer university students looking to work long hours, and work outdoors.

When working out of Drayton Valley, we cover the cost of the hotel room, and a subsistence is paid to our employees for a meal allowance.

Role of the Herbicide Applicator is for the removal/controlling of vegetation on oilfield leases, gas plants, right-of-ways as well as record keeping. A work crew is normally comprised of 1 or 2 employees per unit, utilizing truck mounted spray equipment and UTV spray equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Vegetation control including mixing and applying herbicides to oilfield leases

- Performing weed inspections

- Preparing detailed records and safety paperwork

- Performing weekly inspections on the equipment

- Following company safety standards and safe work procedures

- Maintenance of equipment

- Mapping and navigation

Pre-Employment Qualifications:

- Herbicide application/vegetation control experience is an asset

- Standard First Aid - REQUIRED

- H2S Alive - REQUIRED

- Valid Class 5 Drivers License - provide a drivers abstract

- CSO - Common Safety Orientation

- Physically fit

- Self-motivated

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
