Home Care Support Worker

Mount Pearl, St. John's, Paradise, CBS, Goulds.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals in need, such as seniors, hospice patients, or individuals with dementia
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding if necessary
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings
- Document client care and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of assisted living, senior care, hospice care, or dementia care is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals in need of care
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions from healthcare professionals
- Flexibility in schedule to accommodate varying shifts and client needs

Salary: $17.73 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• On call
• Weekends as needed
