Home Care/Health Care Aid

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced health Care Aide to care for an elderly female during her day. Experience with dementia patients considered an asset. The job would be located in the patients home. Some cleaning required (such as floors, vacuuming, bathrooms,) meal prepping, and bathing.

Location: Sturgeon County, right outside of St. Albert

Shifts: Evenings & Weekends currently available

Duties:

• Cleaning (before/after meal preparation, cleaning up after patient, etc.)
• Meal Preparation
• Assistance with mobility, feeding, bathing, toileting and personal grooming
• Keeping patient company/visiting with patient
• Providing emotional and social support to patient and family

Requirements

• Experience with dementia or alzheimer patient's considered an asset
• Must have own vehicle for transportation to job location (no transit)
• Health Care Aide Certification; relevant experience in relevant fields would also be considered
• Compassionate, caring, and professional individual
• Able to perform physical tasks and duties, including frequent bending, reaching and lifting
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Must be willing to undergo a Police Check/Vulnerable Sector check

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
