Downtown Montreal Hostel looking for a full timeNight Receptionist

We are a fun & hip hostel in Montreal, in the heart of the Latin Quarter of the city and we're looking for a new team member!

Fluent English and French are a must as well as a valid work visa.

• Job type: full time
• Hours: 23h30 to 8h30– 9 hours per shift
• Approbation period: 3 months
• Work schedule: 4 days a week = 36 hours (must be available on weekends)

Salary:

• 19$/hour
• Plus additional Bonus pay of 500$ every 3 months

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greeting visitors, answering telephone
- Receiving and replying to reservation inquiries in person, by phone or by email
- Processing incoming reservations
- Checking guests in and out, explaining the hostel facilities and services
- Informing guests of city events and points of interests
- Handling cash procedures
- Ensuring cleanliness of the reception and public areas
- Regulating hostel entries, dealing with unwelcome guests

The ideal candidates will possess:
* Excellent customer service experience
* Ability to multitask and handle fast paced environment
* Accurate cash handling experience
* Excellent verbal communications in English and French
* Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
* Ability to operate computers and office equipment
* Positive attitude, outgoing and friendly
* Ability to handle pressure with poise and finesse
* Ability to deal with security issues, firmly and quickly
