Host/Hostess

Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality and a desire to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Assist in answering phone calls and supporting other staff
- Organize the waitlist effectively to ensure guests are being seated efficiently
- Communicate effectively with guests, servers, and kitchen staff with confidence
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with understanding & professionalism
- Coordinate seating arrangements to ensure efficient table turnover

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is an asset but not needed
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with POS systems is an asset
- Must be able to work well within a team

Note: This position is primarily for a Host/Hostess with the ability to learn the Role of Barista as well. This will be on a as needed basis.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $15.30 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 25 per week
