To ensure the maximum level of guest room cleanliness, provide the optimum guest services possible, while fostering a healthy and harmonious work environment for all housekeeping staff
Must be capable and willing to perform all tasks related to the requirements of the housekeeping department in order to thoroughly train and oversee room checkers and room attendants. Interviews and reference checks all perspective housekeepers. Manages the housekeeping department to ensure that all policies and standards are adhered to. Establishes and implements realistic and effective procedures for the day to day cleaning of guest rooms and common areas and ensures that every guest room is checked daily. Schedules for Routine Preventative Maintenance and Quarterly Deep Cleaning of all guest rooms and common areas during times which will least impact on guest service and room sales. A Housekeeping Supervisor is appreciative of the fact that during periods of low occupancy they will be required to clean guestrooms or perform laundry duties.
Training will be provided for front desk for answering phones, making reservations, stepping in when required. Must work in tandem with Front Desk Supervisor to ensure there is always a supervisor on duty 7 days a week
