Scope:
The role of a Laundry Attendant includes cleaning, pressing and folding laundry as needed. You may also be responsible for the maintenance of laundry equipment and other duties around the facility. Ultimately, you will play a crucial role in the presentation of the establishment by ensuring all textiles are well cared for and maintained.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Sort, wash, dry and fold hotel linens and towels
· Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers and ironing machines
· Track maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment
· Ensure that the facility remains clean at all times
· Inspect linens for stains or damage and report any issues to the supervisor
· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area
· Follow proper procedures for handling and storing laundry chemicals
· Assist with inventory management of linens and supplies
· Assist with cleaning guest rooms, as needed
· Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used by guests visiting the workplace

Physical Demands:
· Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance
· Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces
· Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping
· Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift
· Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
