Housekeeper/Front Desk

Housekeeper/Front-Desk:

The MAQ Hotel is looking for Housekeepers & Front-Desk staff. This is a full time position(s) - cross trained between housekeeping and front-desk/administrative. Experience with housekeeping and customer service is helpful, but we will train the right person. Wage is between $18-$20 an hour to start - dependant on experience.
**Staff accommodation is available**
Start Date: As soon as possible.
Position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
* Cleaning & Sanitization of rooms, lobby & other common areas.
* Maintain and clean hotel property and common grounds
* Making beds & changing towels/linens.
* Checking in & checking out of hotel guests.
* Responding to guest requests with a kind demeanour - via e-mail, in-person & online.
* Maintaining organization of closets, front desk and offices.
* Maintain and clean hotel property and common grounds.
Working Conditions:
Flexible, but must be willing to work a variety of hours, including days, nights as well as weekends and holidays based on the business needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift for up to 8 hours
- Physically fit; frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lb.
- Kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience (preferred but not required)
- Previous customer service experience (preferred but not required)
- Excellent communication skills required
- Attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Work well unsupervised
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow employees as part of a team.
- Good grooming & presentation.
