The Blue Horizon Hotel, located at 1225 Robson Street, is a 215 room down town hotel. We have passion for outstanding service and we are seeking a Housekeeping Inspector to join our team. We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Housekeeping Inspector with a passion for maintaining the highest housekeeping and maintenance standards. This position reports to the Executive Housekeeper. This is an active "hands-on" position, not an office/administrative position.

Responsibilities include:

• Active involvement in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace
• Inspect guestrooms and public areas to ensure Hotel standards are being met
• Respond to Front Desk and Guest requests
• Assist with special projects as needed
• Log and store Lost & Found items
• Responsible for Housekeeping closing duties

The successful candidate will have:

• Passion for cleanliness and pride in a job well done
• Keen eye for detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to perform duties in a timely and efficient manner
• Good communication skills
• Professional fluency in English - written and spoken
• Previous housekeeping experience in a busy hotel environment
• Basic understanding of maintenance is an asset
• Experience in an unionized workplace is an asset
• Weekend shifts
