Housekeeping Supervisor, Full time

We are looking to hire a housekeeper to take ownership of all things related to housekeeping at a small inn. You will be responsible for training and supervising casual and part-time cleaners, as well as cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, and notifying maintenance of any issues. Beginning on a part-time basis (10-20 hours per week) is possible, though full-time is preferred. This role ideally would be Wed- Sun, 8 hrs per day, day shifts mostly, with occasionally longer days for special events.

Housekeeper Responsibilities:

• Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
• Clean and stock restrooms
• Create and maintain cleaning check lists, order supplies, general admin
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment
• Notify managers of necessary repairs
• Collect and disposing of trash
• Assist guests with any requests
• Keeping the linen room stocked
• Properly clean upholstered furniture

Housekeeper Requirements:

• Ability to manage your time efficiently
• Extreme attention to detail
• Ability to take on the challenge of providing 'unreasonable hospitality'
• Willingness to take ownership and responsibility for their sphere of work
• Ability to cultivate professional, positive interaction with guests and colleagues
• Work well unsupervised
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• Handle basic maintenance and cleaning
• High school diploma
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests
• Hard working
