Required Availability:
Four to five shifts a week, averaging around 30 hours a week. Must be available for weekends, and then weekdays. Morning shift starting at 9:00am weekends, and 8:00am weekdays.
Your qualifications:
- Mature, punctual, honest, and reliable
- Previous housekeeping experience an asset
- Must have a positive work attitude
- Must be a team player with other staff and management
- Proficient communication skills with guests and staff
- Able to stand, bend, lift and crouch throughout one's shift
- Can work with a variety of cleaning solutions Work without personal distractions or devices i.e. visits, cell phone, excess smoking breaks
- Be able to work in a fast pace environment to fulfill daily deadlines
- Work without personal interruptions ie. cell phone, access breaks, etc
- Be responsible of job requirements
- Can work without supervision
Your job duties:
Housekeeping:
- Ensuring meticulous cleanliness of guest rooms, staircases, hallways, and storage rooms
- Vacuuming, dusting, changing of room's linens and bathroom towels
- Cleaning of toilets, bathtubs, sinks, and mirrors
- Proper cleaning and sanitizing of all furniture surfaces ie. tables, chairs, mirrors, etc Informing maintenance and or management of room maintenance issues
- Stocking of room amenities, staff cart and supply room
- Remove and throw away garbage from all rooms and hallways
- Maintaining and following through the housekeeping checklist
- Be attentive to any guests requests for amenities or housekeeping related items
Laundry:
- Deliver dirty laundry to laundry room and replenish fresh laundry to guest rooms
- Sort laundry items into washer and dryer
- Know how to use the machine washing equipment, fold neatly, and organize all guest and fitness room linens ie. Towels, sheets, pillowcases, etc
- Remove and throw away garbage received from rooms
