Housing Maintenance Foreman

Please read entire ad before deciding whether or not this position is right for you. We are seeking to fill the position of Housing Association Maintenance Foreman to oversee the day to day operations of the maintenance department at a housing association located in one of the Nunavut communities. Note: This is not a turn-around position, this is a full time position and requires the incumbent to move to the community, taking 1 paid vacation per year.

To apply, you will have either an oil burner mechanic journeyman certification, and with proven plumbing skills, or a journeyman plumber certification with proven oil burner skill/experience, with 10 years of experience in at least one of those 2 trades. You will be a hard worker with good organizational skills, great teamworking skills, exemplary critical thinking skills, administrative skills (knowing how to quickly and efficiently use Microsoft Office), and past experience/skill with project management and strategic planning for projects. For most of the year you will only be supervising one or two subordinate workers. The annual salary for this position is $146k. Experience:

• Certified tradesperson: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driver's License to legally drive in Canada (required)
