What Are We About?


The HR and Talent Officer is a key member of the HR team responsible for recruitment and selection/talent acquisition, including implementing initiatives/changes as part of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Action Plan; automating recruitment processes; metrics and analysis related to talent acquisition, developing strategies to attract the best candidates, pre-boarding and exit interviews; developing leader and employee tools, guides, and other support to address current and emerging needs in areas of responsibility.

Please note: This position is designation as hybrid and is expected on campus 50% of thew time.

Please note that in addition to the salary range listed above, you will be eligible for performance-based incentives, in accordance with the College’s administrative compensation program and practices.

What We Are Looking For:

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • A 3-year diploma or degree in a related discipline (such as Human Resources, Business Administration or Psychology)
  • A professional Human Resources designation such as CHRP achieved or in-progress is preferred;
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ recent and relevant work experience including
    • Recruitment and selection/talent acquisition experience
    • Experience working in a unionized environment an asset
    • Experience in an Human Resources environment an asset
    • Proven experience in positive relationship building and management
    • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office suite of programs
    • Conflict management skills
    • Interviewing skills
    • Analytical and critical thinking skills
