Job Summary: The HR Coordinator will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the Human Resources Department. This includes recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and training coordination. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and organized professional with a passion for HR and an ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job ads, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and managing the onboarding process.
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with provincial and federal regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Coordinate training and development programs, including scheduling, tracking participation, and evaluating effectiveness.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits, answering employee queries, and liaising with providers.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support in managing employee relations.
  • Participate in HR projects, such as surveys, events, and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of Nova Scotia labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
