Job Opportunity: HR Generalist
Job Details:
- Permanent, Full-time position
- Monday to Friday, 40h per week
- Pay rate: $50,000-$65,000 a year

Responsibilities:
- Drive Recruitment and Retention initiatives.
- Implement policy and documentation updates.
- Conduct research on competitive standards, including vacation time.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date job descriptions.
- Facilitate the performance review process.
- Manage the end-to-end hiring and termination processes.
- Conduct or assist with new hire orientation.
- Oversee the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policy and committee.
- Develop and identify training programs to enhance employee skills.
- Address frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Uphold the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Conduct periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure proper document collection and filing.
- Assist with payroll functions, including processing, addressing employee inquiries, correcting processing errors etc.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Business or HR Certification. CPHR Certified preferred.
- Experience: 2 years’ experience working in HR or payroll administration. Experience with ADP Workforce Now considered an asset.
- Deep understanding of the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Act and the Workers Compensation Act.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
