HR & Payroll Coordinator with Calm Discipline Needed

As the HR & Payroll Coordinator, you are responsible for handling all things payroll related at CYV and for our sister store, Township Chevrolet in PEI. This includes approving daily timesheets, calculating and issuing commission cheques, managing benefits, posting and updating staff employment records, correct time clock errors and updating attendance records. You work with the staff and managers at both dealerships to ensure everyone gets paid accurately and on time.
As HR, you will be responsible for ensuring all employees have up-to-date employment agreements which adhere to the government’s employment standards and regulations. You issue employment-related documentation such as offer letters, termination letters, paperwork for immigration and documents sometimes required by staff. You make sure all new hires are set up for success on their first day, ensuring they have all their necessary logins, onboarding plans and their workstation is set up and ready to go.
Because of your role in HR, you will also be directly involved in CYV’s Occupational Health and Safety Committee. You plan and chair meetings, create agendas, ensure minutes are taken, monthly safety inspections are carried out by committee members and you handle other tasks as needed to ensure the health and safety of our staff and our customers.

Required Experience
- Education: Minimum 2 years College Accounting
- Experience: Minimum 5 years performing payroll related work
