Join us as HR Project Specialist cum HRBP for the Electrification Business Area where you will be performing project planning, coordination & execution for several assigned service lines / countries, handling complex and escalated tasks.You will also be accountable for the day-to-day operational HR tasks for the business area locally where you will act as a trusted HR partner to assist on employee lifecycle matters. You will be coordinating internal HR events and activities to help drive towards an optimal culture for organization and talent development. Reporting to Regional HR Business Partner and this position will be based in Sungai Wey, Malaysia.

Your responsibilities

  • Executing and delivering HR services in compliance with agreed business processes, KPI and quality targets in a timely, accurate and customer focused manner, showing an end-to-end responsibility with a proactive ‘can-do attitude’
  • Analyzing the needs of the organization to propose & drive solutions that will help build on the ABB culture & develop the employees

  • Handling multiple people project portfolios concurrently, and responsible for the projects’ planning & execution (locally & regionally)
  • Designing media & content materials (PowerPoint, Canva, Video editor, Adobe) for people initiatives & projects
  • Leading certain HR driven events/activities & projects that drive talent & leadership development & cultural objectives forward
  • Partner with managers and employees to advice on people issues
  • Initiate & manage local employee support groups such as Volunteering & Women Network to support global directive on Diversity & Inclusion
  • Identifying deficiencies of existing business processes and proactively recommends enhancements and/or simplification based on day-to-day experience

  • Acting as point of contact for inquiries regarding HR related topics and delivers support across one or several service line(s)
  • Educating customers in policies, business processes and the correct usage of HR tools and supporting cross collaboration within GBS HR Operations and other HR functions to optimize processes and tools and therewith promoting synergies.
  • Maintaining a high level of data quality and accuracy in the systems as well as documentation such as e.g., Sop’s. Providing on-demand reports related to business processes where required and supporting other team members with defined tasks and knowledge transfers

Your background

  • A min of Bachelors / Degree in business, commerce, HR, psychology or of any other discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR or projects management with a reputable company.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • Good graphic design or creative design skillset preferred.
  • Interest for learning and self growth.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Independent and resourceful, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Existing volunteer or someone with ties to local welfare organizations
