BOMImed is currently seeking an HR/Admin. Assistant to fill a newly created role and can provide administrative support to the HR department and assist with day-to-day operations. This entry level position is perfect for someone that is outgoing, caring, has a keen attention to detail, organized and can adapt to changing situations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resource Manager.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Compile and update employee records.
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance reviews etc).
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes.
- Assist in payroll preparation.
- Assist in full recruitment cycle (job posting, communicating with candidates, schedule interviews, onboarding, orientations).
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Assist with Health & Safety administrative tasks.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies.
- Other duties, assignments and responsibilities as needed.
Skills Required
- Excellent phone, email and in-person communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Strong time management skills
- Experience in data collection, entry and reporting
- Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience & Education
- Proven experience as an HR Admin. Asst. or relevant role.
- Certificate in Human Resources or Office/Business Administration or currently enrolled, an asset.

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
