Your daily role

Reporting to the HRIS Administrator and as an HRIS Specialist, you will act as a local contact for our sites and will guarantee optimal use of the HRIS. You contribute to support for the HRIS, promote relationships with the Human Resources teams on site and you will be their main contact for functional support of the HRIS.

THE ROLE:

  • Participate in the implementation of the HRIS project and the implementation of all new technological tools and solutions;
  • Act as local support for the various NORTERA sites and handle level 1 requests;
  • Train new and existing users, following industry best practices and established processes for using the system;
  • Participate in daily data entry activity to ensure employee information is up to date and quality is maintained;
  • Perform audits and controls to ensure compliance and integrity of HR data;
  • Document all related processes, workflows and system activities;
  • Participate in the development of testing strategies and define scenarios in addition to performing unit, integrated and regression tests;
  • Perform various analyses, evaluate the impacts on current solutions and optimize the efficiency of the system taking into account integration with other existing systems;
  • Execute system changes, updates and any other change requests;
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for HRIS & HR team members.

Your profile
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with HR systems, reporting tools, HR processes and policies;
  • Bachelor's degree in a field such as business informatics, business administration or any other combination of relevant training and experience;
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, including Excel (formulas, VLookup, pivot tables, etc.);
  • Attention to detail, analysis, organization and time management;
  • Team spirit and excellent customer service skills;
  • Ability to handle highly confidential data;
  • Good communication skills, bilingual - French and English (spoken and written);
  • Prior experience with human resources information systems and the implementation of new systems;
  • Active contribution to an HRIS implementation or development project (an asset);
  • Frequent travel to our Quebec sites and occasionally to other Nortera sites (Quebec, Canada, United States).
