Role Summary
To analyze, repair, and troubleshoot hydraulic fluid power systems, equipment, and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead on the diagnosis and repair of hydraulic fluid power circuits;
- Design and troubleshoot hydraulic fluid power circuits;
- Design, modify, and update hydraulic schematics;
- Maintain hydraulic fluid power systems, equipment, and components;
- Identify and repair hydraulic leaks;
- Optimization of machine functionality for uptime, cycle time and energy conservation;
- Assist the maintenance department planning of PM activity scheduling;
- Approve design, build, operation of new equipment;
- Supplier sourcing for related projects;
- Support departments: Engineering, Maintenance, Toolroom, and Production;
- Work with engineering on Design and integration;
- Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts awareness and adherence;
- Able to train others as required;
- Other duties as required.
- Certified/Licensed Industrial Millwright;
- Minimum five years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment;
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hydraulic fluid power circuits;
- Ability to read and explain hydraulic symbols and schematics;
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulic valves (positional, proportional, and servo);
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulic pump operation and application specific designs;
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulic manifolds;
- Ability to install, modify, and repair steel piping (up to 5000psi);
- Physically capable of performing essential duties of the job.
- Must be able to travel to venders as required.
