Water Security Agency is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Hydrometric Services group as a Technologist, Hydrometric Operations located in our Nipawin office.
Reporting to the Manager, Hydrometric Program or designated Supervisor, an employee in this job will, in both field and office settings and within an assigned district, undertake duties associated with the WSAs Hydrometric Program specific to the collection, processing, and documentation of hydrological and other related environmental data.
Duties and responsibilities will primarily be:
Conduct field operations required for the collection of hydrological data on rivers and lakes within an assigned district.
Process and analyze collected hydrological data using both basic and complex methods of technical data reduction.
Conduct specialized field surveys and studies to assist with various hydrologic investigations and studies.
The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology or a similar technical discipline and will have or will immediately obtain and maintain registration with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS).
