Our agency is expanding, and we are hiring for an Inclusive Child Care Consultant (formerly Supported Child Development Consultant) and Inclusive Child Care Workers (formerly Supported Child Development Worker) positions.
We are looking for an Inclusive Child Care Consultant (ICC) to join our multi-disciplinary team to work with children birth – 19 years of age. The ICC would use family-centered, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed approaches to provide assessment, intervention, consultation and monitoring.
The position is permanent and can be either full-time or part-time
Wage: $24.00-$38.00 depending on Diploma or Degree qualifications and years of experience.

- Diploma or degree in early childhood education or related field from a recognized College or University
- Three to five years of experience working in Inclusive Childcare.
- Current CCLR approved first aide course
- Knowledge of community resources and childcare services
- Preferred experience working with the Aboriginal Supported Child Development or Supported Child Development program
- Demonstrated ability to use a cultural safety framework
- Current Class 5 Driver’s License, safe driving record and personal vehicle for work use, preferred
- Available Monday to Friday, and be able to work flexible hours as needed
- A criminal record check clearance letter
Deliver child-specific services including:
- Meet with families and their children to assess the needs of the child or youth in a child care setting.
- Work with the child care provider and family to develop and monitor strategies for the child so they can fully participate in Inclusive Child care.
- Determine if extra staffing support is required to enable the child’s participation in child care and determine number of hours needed.
- Work with the child care provider, family, and school to support transition to Kindergarten
- Creating and maintaining patient records, including observation notes, progress notes, and full reports
- Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with children and families, team members, other groups and community agency personnel.
- Deliver practical professional learning opportunities to child care programs for providing Inclusive Child care.
- Partnering with the child care provider to identify and enable professional learning opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
