The Leisure Services Department is offering an exciting summer employment opportunity to work at the Credit
Union Spark Centre as a Summer Camp Inclusive Program Facilitator. As we continue to grow and prosper as a
community, we seek a motivated and innovative employee to join our team!
• Will provide one-on-one supervision, support and care for children with intellectual disabilities;
- Will work in conjunction with other Program staff to plan, co-ordinate and facilitate quality of sport, culture
- Ensures that all activities are designed and facilitated to meet the needs and abilities of the participants;
- Adhere to and interpret staff policies, practices and procedures of the Summer Camp;
- Ensure safety and confidentiality of participants;
- Maintain required documentation, records and reports as required;
- Provide weekly reports, attend meetings and scheduled planned events within the workday;
- Primary role is to help all children ages 6-11 years develop intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally
- Act as a positive role model at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Students hired must be at least 15 years of age or older, enrolled as a student at a secondary or post-
- Experience with people who have intellectual disabilities preferred;
- Some knowledge of sports, culture, and recreation
- Belief in Inclusion and respect for children with challenges.
Additional Information:
- Job Status – Seasonal (July 3rd – August 29th, 2024)
- Wage – In accordance with CUPE Local 90 Agreement.
