Income Tax Preparer

Liberty Tax Saskatoon is hiring senior and entry level Tax Preparers for the 2024 tax filing season.

**Year round positions available.
**Tax preparation experience preferred.
**Accounting & Bookkeeping experience preferred and can be trained quickly.
**Computer-savvy candidates preferred.
**Multiple locations have vacancies. Not only the posted location.

Job Description:

* Conducts an in-depth interview with the client, obtains all information and material required for tax return preparation.

* Fully communicates to client the procedures, paperwork, and timeframes applicable to the service being provided.

* Accurately prepares all paperwork and completes all required data entry according to office policy and procedure.

Requirements:

* Comfortable with computer and able to quickly learn work-related software and applications.

* Self-confident, professional, friendly and courteous.

* People skills is a must-have.

Duties:

* Conducts a thorough client interview.

* Thoroughly explains the appropriate procedure and flow of the client's chosen service and the benefits of each service offered.

* Accurately inputs all client information into the tax preparation computer and file returns.

* Correctly completes all applicable paperwork for client’s chosen service.

* Answers and researches to completion of all tax questions.

* Increases tax knowledge continuously.

* Fulfills all office administrative requirements including clearing out returns on hold and fixing rejects.

* Acts as the receptionist when one is not scheduled.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal

Salary: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• tax preparation: 1 year (preferred)

• English (required)
