The Role
Reporting to the Chief Engineer in the Maintenance Engineering department, your knowledge of industrial automation and process control systems will support operations in a mining environment.
In this role, you will:
-Oversee the operations industrial process control system optimization and design
-Ensure that the industrial process controls group is meeting the requirements of the operation and department
-Mentor a small team of Automation and Controls Specialists,
-Interface with the other corporate and site groups on industrial process control system matters
-Oversee the security and access control of the sites industrial process control system
-Ensure the industrial process control system is in compliance with corporate and regulatory standards
-Act as the site contact, and SME for larger design/installation projects related to the industrial process control system
-Provide cross-shift support on time-sensitive items for the departments Senior Electrical Engineer
Required:
-Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, computer engineering or related discipline
-Five to eight years of experience with industrial process control systems
-P.Eng or international membership equivalent
-You must be eligible for registration with the Association of -Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
-Strong communication and problem-solving skills
-Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
-Exposure to maintenance systems, techniques, and technologies
-Experience in a mining/milling environment
-Experience with Foxboro DCS, Modicon PLCs, or similar technologies and platforms
-Experience with computerized maintenance management system, preference for SAP experience
-Project Management Professional (PMP Certification)
