Journeyman & Apprentices Painters
To work at our BHP Potash Mine Project in Jansen, Saskatchewan.
- SALARY: $31.05 - $44.36
- BENEFITS: 3% Pension & 3% RRSP + CLAC Benefits
- OVERTIME: After 8 hours in a day
- LOA: N/A
- TRAVEL: Travel allowance provided
- ACCOMMODATIONS: Camp
- START DATE: ASAP
- SCHEDULE: 14 days on 7 days off
- HOURS PER DAY: 10.5
- PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
- SHIFT: 14/7
- DURATION: 6 Months +
Requirements:
- CSTS 2020 Certification
- WHMIS2015
- ESC Elevated Work Platform
- ESC Fall Protection
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
- Previous blasting and coating experience considered an asset, willing to train the right candidate with a focus on high quality work standard and commitment to safety
- Familiar with Industrial Paint Codes and Standards
- Familiar with spraying and sandblasting equipment
- Able to wear a full-face respirator and media blasting hood for extended periods
Responsibilities:
- Surface preparation using a variety of techniques: abrasive blasting, hand tools, etc.
- Masking of materials
- Maintaining equipment required for the job
- Previous experience in the use and maintenance of paint spray systems (conventional, airless, and plural)
- Application of industrial coatings using a variety of tools and materials to desired film thickness
- Safely and properly storing and disposing of chemical waste
- Completion of Quality Control documents
- Working with team to ensure high quality of work and that project deliverables are met
- Maintenance of all blasting and coating equipment
- Ensuring adherence to manufacturer's guidelines, compliance to all PPE, and standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
