Contact Lens Production/InspectionTechnician
Job description
You’ve been searching for an entry-level opportunity where you’re guaranteed on-the-job training and stability. If you’re ready to start your career doing work you can take pride in, then come join us as our new lab production technician!
We’re Precision Technology Services and we strive to improve lives by restoring the gift of sight to people with limited vision. As one of Canada's premier specialty lens labs, we provide leading edge ophthalmic products and training to eye care practitioners and their patients.
Lab Production/Inspection Technician:
In this position, you will report directly to the Lab Manager and your goal is to support our lab in the production of contact lenses.
We’ll provide you all the on-the-job training you’ll need to be successful. Your primary responsibility will be inspecting and modifying finished contact lenses. You will use various measurement techniques and instruments to evaluate whether or not the parameters of the finished product meet the required standards.
You’ll also get to participate in the production of lenses by learning to operate our CNC lathes, cleaning and packaging finished lenses, and doing routine preventative maintenance on the machines. In no time, you’ll be able to jump right in to help with any step of production.
The Right Fit:
While some production experience would be an asset, we’re more concerned about who you are, rather than what you’ve done. All our best lab production technicians share these qualities:

- You’re detail-oriented – your accuracy and attention to detail will ensure our production quality remains consistently excellent.
- You’re a true team player – you’re always willing to lend a hand wherever you’re needed. You see any opportunity to help your team as an opportunity to learn.
- You have a problem-solving mentality – you’re a natural trouble-shooter and take satisfaction in solving tricky problems using logical thinking and creativity.
- You’re a strong communicator – good communication among our team members is critical to our success.
