Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Instructor for our Pre-Trades Training program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and have a strong background in the trades industry. This role involves preparing students for entry into various trades, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Provide hands-on training and demonstrations in a workshop setting.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay updated with industry trends and adjust curriculum as needed.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and contribute to program development.
- Mentor and advise students on career paths in the trades.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the trades industry.
- Relevant trade certification or diploma.
- Red Seal certification is Preferred.
- Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse student populations.
- Proficient in using various teaching technologies and tools.

Additional Information:

- Significant Travel required throughout Nunavut.
