Reporting to site supervision, the role of Apprentice Instrumentation Technician will be expected to start in April working 10 per day, on a 4/3 shift. This position will perform general instrumentation maintenance work at our client’s facility located in Joffre.
Position Requirements
Registered Instrumentation Apprentice with previous maintenance or project experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid Alberta Drivers’ License
Able to meet conditions outlined on the Physical Demands Analysis
Achieve 100% completion of mandatory client training
Pre-access Drug & Alcohol test
Training Required: CSTS 2020, Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry, Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
Position Description
Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on quality
Conduct tasks related with maintenance and operations team
Conduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic, elkectronic as well as programmable logic control (PLC) systems
Ensure to commission instrumentation effective following with repair and replacement
Conduct test related to functional performance on instrumentation as needed by facility changes.
Contribute to pre-job Toolbox meetings
Ensure PTA cards are included as part of each job/task
Conduct regular worksite inspections to monitor workmanship and safety compliance
Comply with client safety policies and procedures
High degree of safety awareness and a commitment to safety (his/hers and others)
