Teck is currently accepting applications for the position of Instrumentation Mechanic. Teck recruits proactively to build a talent pool for current and/or future opportunities.
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Industrial Instrumentation Mechanic is responsible for the installation, calibration, repair, and maintenance of all electronic process control field instrumentation in a modern coal processing environment.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team, and has a willingness to learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
-Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
-Install, calibrate, repair, and maintain electronic process control field instrumentation
-Work in a team-oriented environment of instrumentation and electrical peers
-Perform all aspects of installation where required, including piping and wiring
Qualifications:
-Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation Mechanic Certification
-Valid driver’s license
-Experience in an industrial environment
-Experience with control systems, DCS and PLC experience would be an asset
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
-Previous mining experience is an asset
Wage Range: $126,000 - $128,000
