Journeyperson & Apprentice Insulators
To work at our IPL PROJECT in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
- SALARY: From $30.14 - $43.05 per hour
- BENEFITS: 4% Pension & 4% RRSP + CLAC Benefits
- OVERTIME: After 8 hours in a day, or 40 hours in a week
- START DATE: ASAP
- SCHEDULE: 9/80 & 6/1
- HOURS PER DAY: 10 hours per day
- PAY SCHEDULE: Weekly Pay (Friday)
- SHIFT: Dayshift & Night Shift
- DURATION: Ongoing
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Journeyperson or Apprenticeship Insulating ticket from a recognized provincial training authority OR proof of hours
- Must have experience working at heights
- Must be willing to attend safety training (paid by WorleyCord): CSTS, H2S, WHMIS2015, EWP, Fall Protection, Confined Space
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills written and verbal
- Previous modular experience is an asset
- Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
Responsibilities:
- Apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (e.g. calcium silicate, foam glass, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass) on all types of industrial equipment (e.g. heat exchangers, tanks, vessels, piping)
- Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine insulation requirements
- Measure, cut, fit, and install insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimension
- Install vapor barriers and finish insulated surfaces by applying metal cladding, canvas, plastic sheeting or cement
- Previous industrial construction experience
