Intermediate Audit Associate

Seeking an Intermediate Audit Associate, who will focus on leveraging basic knowledge of accounting principles while being exposed to different client engagements on an increasing complexity level. Join diverse project teams comprised of all levels and work on a variety of tax and assurance engagements. In this role you develop and maintain outstanding client relationships, and showcase your leadership qualities.
Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of an audit team for audits of private businesses
• Audit accounts payable, inventory, accounts receivable, fixed assets etc.,
• Independently complete review engagements of financial statements for owner-managed businesses including preparation of corporate income tax returns as per the firm's formal policies and procedures
• Independently complete compilation engagements including preparation of corporate income tax returns
• Manage competing deadlines for multiple partners and managers while providing quality service to clients
• Lead small audit engagements and provide guidance to junior team members
• Show ongoing progress to the achievement of the competencies for your level

What you offer:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 1+ year post CFE experience
• Public accounting audit experience for a variety of industries
• Knowledge of Accounting Standards for private enterprises
• Demonstrated technical accounting skills and research capabilities
• Strong client service and communication skills
• Self motivated, results driven
• Experience using CaseView/CaseWare and TaxPrep software
• Strong knowledge of various Excel functions
• Experience using QuickBooks or Simply Accounting
• Demonstrate ability to use Document Management Tools

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary : $60,000 - $70,000/annum
• 3 weeks vacations annually
• 40 hours of personal/family leave annually
• Half Day Friday's in July & August
• Office Closure between December 25th-January 2nd (in addition to vacation time)
