Summary of Duties:
Obtain patients’ meal selections and food preferences on a daily basis
Enter patients’ menu selections into the computer system.
Process and enter patients’ food preferences
Process diet changes, print late trays as requested
Answer phone, handle and direct food related queries to appropriate staff.
Qualifications/Skills:
Student or graduate of Food & Nutrition program is preferred
1 year Nutrition/diet related experience is preferred
Good telephone manner with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written
Good interpersonal skills, demonstrated Patient Focused Care Philosophy
Knowledge of therapeutic nutrition is an asset
CBORD knowledge is preferred
Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Keyboarding skills at 50 w.p.m. with maximum 5% error rate
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
